Must have books
Speaking of must have books. When I joined the AKA I bought a number of
books through the service. The books that have helped me the most are the
beginner's book provided with the membership. The other one, which I have
highlighted almost all the way through the book, is "Breeding Killifish" by
Langton. This is an essential book and I have had a lot of the same
experiences as the breeders interviewed. I highly recommend the book. I
also have Ed's killi book and a number of others. The aqualogs are great
for pictures and info, but are far from complete and don't include things
like water hardness and such. That's what I like about The "colour atlas of
Cyprinodonts of the Rain Forests of Tropical Africa" by Purzl and Radda.
Also, the Ratgeber book "Killifische", by Schreiber and Schmidt, has good
hardness and temp. info that you can make out even though the whole book is
in German. The World of Killifish books are awesome. Just have to go out
there and look.
