RO will remove most heavy metals, too, including copper.
Nevertheless, filtering is a symptom cure, and you don't even want to be
drinking that water (using for cooking, for example) until it is fixed.
Whether it is electrolysis or the low pH, you need a good long-term fix.
They are available, but you probably have to call in the pros to get it done
right. The electrician is a good place to start.
