The peanut butter works great for any squirrel like critter but DO NOT
transport and introduct them elsewhere. Squirrels are territorial, any
strange fellow will so be an ex-fellow. As well disease can more easily be
introduced spread. Yes, squirrels can migrate on their own but few are able
to travel miles in a single season. We wouldn't introduce fish from one
pond to another so why do it with small mammals.
If the squirrels are a true problem, a sharp knock on the end of the nose
with a stick after they are live-trapped will end all your problems and it
will be quick for the squirrel too. If that's too harsh call in the
professionals, it'll cost but you will be able to sleep are night.

I never met a fish I didn't like.
A few people have been that way too.
