That probably explains the deceptive listing that made it look like DM Jrs
were a big bargain until you call and find out.

Since they are first cousins to types that live happily in sea water, I
guess we should not be too surprised. I bet they are every bit as efficient
as egg predators in that brackish water as they are in fresh. :-)
I was astonished, today, to find some springfish eggs in a tank with
plentiful MTS. Two hatched as I was pulling them, and others were nearly
eyed up. Maybe *Crenichthys* lay bad-tasting eggs? It's a first for me to
find more than one or two very fresh eggs, in *any* tank with a modest MTS
population.
