RE: New Club in the NW

Congratulations on the starting of a new club; if you send me a styro and an
address, I can send, weather permitting, a box of fish (donation) to help
get you started. I continue to believe that the regional clubs are the
backbone of the AKA and a primary source for AKA membership.

Subject: New Club in the NW

Hi everyone,

As you probably saw in a previous post from Brian Perkins we are in the
process of forming a new affiliate club to serve the Pacific NW of the US
and the SW of Canada. We will be having our first meeting on March 3.
Because of the long distances involved, amounting to several hours driving
for some people, we plan on physically meeting about 4 times a year and to
exist between those times as a "virtual club", using our email list as a
way to keep in touch.

Thanks go to Brian for his enthusiasm to get the new club started and the
work he has done so far to make that happen. He has also created a small
set of web pages for the club, which you can view by following the links on
the AKA home page and the "clubs" sections of the AKA site.

Wish us luck!

Barry
