RE: charcoal ?

Hi Tony,

For most common killifish species charcoal will do no harm. Although some
charcoal can affect the pH. On the other hand with very regular water
changes it is unnecessary. Lava rock in the corner filter provides a better
media for nitrifying bacteria culture.

Best regards,

Subject: charcoal ?

Hi, I'm Tony. I just got back into fish after a long while.
In my reading on killifish there is no mention of using
charcoal in their tanks. This may seem like a dumb
Question, but is it bad for their health? I'm planning
getting a few soon and want to provide the best care possible
 for them.
  Thanks,
    Tony
