because they may not realize it.

I have just received a bounce message that came from Charles Harrison that
could not be posted because he was trying to demonstrate the problem with
people not turning off html The message bounced because it was over 40,000
characters.

I echo his ssentiments. Please turn html off in your mail program. Today we
received a message telling us how scripts in html enabled email programs
can be used for all sorts of underhand stuff.

I have been in contact with the person who maintains our list server asking
about more rigorous filtering, but that could block some people from
sending messages. It would be more palatable if everyone could just
cooperate and turn the stuff off!
