RE: Killie Keepers in the Central Florida area

Tom's right. Out of the three meetings since I joined UNYKA, I have traveled three hours and six hours for
two of them, The meeting here in Rochester I missed, had to work. Go figure.

Heehee  -  I can't let this pass ... 2 hours too far to drive <grins - then laughs out loud ! ! >

Upstate New York Killifish Assc. average drive to a meeting for all members is more than 2 hours (unless it is in the members home).  UNYKA covers most of the state from south of Albany to south and west of Syracuse, north to Watertown and across the top of the state to Rouses Point.  For some of us - and we rarely miss a meeting - 4-6 hour drives are common.   And I have not included our members and friends north of the Canadian border in Montreal area who make many of the meetings.  C'mon guys - REAL killie-keepers don't measure distance only "How Soon is the Next Meeting?"

Just having fun with you - but its completely accurate in terms of the travel ...

Yea Tampa is a bit too far to drive, 2 hours, and I think from the responses there maybe enough to have at least some discussion and fish room tours etc.. should be fun. So anyone else from the east coast of Florida lets all get in touch who knows
