February ARK Meeting
The February meeting of the Arizona Rivulin Keepers will be this coming
Saturday, the 10th, at 6:30 PM. The location is our usual haunt at the
Round Table Pizza (9920 S. Rural Road in Tempe).
The program will be a slide presentation by Allan Semeit of his 1973 trip to
Brazil. That journey resulted in the first introduction of Simpsonichthys
boitonei to the U.S. and the rediscovery of Simpsonichthys whitei then
thought to be extinct in the wild.
The meeting will also feature a fish auction. Attendees are encouraged to
bring in killies, aquatic plants, live food cultures, and other small,
unusual fish. Anyone entering an item in the auction will receive 70% of
the sale price.
ARK meetings are free and open to the public. With the weather warming up
to the mid-70's, shorts and t-shirts are acceptable attire.
