Species Maint. Comm.

I've spent the last day or two pouring over some old posts from last summer
concerning the SMC. At the time it generated so much interest and discourse
that Tom Grady set up a separate sight for members to get together and
discuss the purpose of, interest in, reason for, etc. Communications were
some of the heaviest I've seen and some great ideas were put forth. This may
have hit a sweet spot because deep down this is what the AKA, BKA, etc. are
all about. Then.........nothing.

I understand that the report will be out soon that Tom has put a great deal
of
work into. I hope this will kindle the fires again. If anyone saved any of
the posts
that were flying around, some absolutely great ideas were put forth. I hope
this
doesn't die on the vine.
