water changes was A. congicum

We all have heard how often to change the water. It is interesting that
the
A. Congicum spawned after no water change. I always changed about 1/3
of my water every other week. I have a planted 15 gallon long with
Fundulop gardneri Akampa that I have not changed the water for at least
6 months. I feed daily when I am home and for 2 weeks or so when am
not. They are doing fine with all sizes of fish, from 1 inch fry to mature
adults. I fed them no live food just my own paste formula. They have
a very tight lid and evaporation is minimal. Do I recommend this
method NO, but it does work. I think in cases like this the correct
amount of feed and the plants make the difference. I have not
collected any eggs for years in this tank and don't know what egg
production would be if I did. All of the young are from natural
reproduction.
