Rare A. cognatum Kinshasa

Seeing Brian's post struck a cord with me.  Several years ago I received 
some eggs of A. cognatum Kinshasa from Tim Addis.  He subsequently lost the 
population and I almost lost them.  While ill, I had a non-fish person 
caring for my fish.  No water changes for almost 10 weeks.  I now have them 
spawning again and have about 30 in varying stages.  That is probably all 
there on the North American Continent.  The fish is not one of the 
spectacular fishes of the elegans group unless it is kept in near perfect 
conditions.  Even then the colors are less intense than most members of the 
elegans group.  It was here before and didn't last long.
