Good morning everyone.
I have been invited to go steeelhead fishing on the St. Joe river in
Michigan in March and I'm puzzled by the presence of steelhead in Michigan,
or anywhere else in the Great Lakes area. As I recall from my undergraduate
Ichthyology course, the steelhead is an anadromous variety of rainbow trout
and it is life in seawater that changes the rainbow into a steelhead. Can
anyone out there clarify this for me?
