Re: Information regarding A. cameronense wanted

Thanks for the info, guys!

I've already picked up the "bible" of the Cameronense book, just wondering
if anything had been found since then. Or if new husbandry techniques had
been found, etc.

Why aren't cameronense more widely available here in the states? I know they
are considered to be more difficult than beginner killies (I"m thinking BIT,
GAR and the like here), but how do they compare to Diapterons and stuff like
joergenscheeli? I've also heard that the females can be really aggressive,
as well. Any truth to this?

Just wondering.. :)

The fish in this group are: cameronense, obscurum, mimbon, maculatum,
halleri and several phenotypes that only go by code numbers at this time.
There is a great variety of color and markings in the different populations.
The fish are found in southern Cameroon and northern Gabon. Plant-spawners,
a little more difficult than the average plant-spawner. No particular
temperature requirements over those normally for killies. Soft, slightly
acid water preferred. Not too plentiful in the hobby today. More found among
hobbyists in Germany and Holland. Get the book "Fascination Killifish" with
the english translation from Dick Martino. It is the bible for cameronense
killies. Mwell worth the money.

Sincerely,
