Vacation disasters and amieti v gardneri
Hey,
FYI, I left on vacation for 3 weeks which turned out to be too much for my
fish that weren't in heavily planted tanks. Of the 70+ in planted tanks I
lost 1. of the 30 or so in non-/lightly- planted tanks I lost all but 5.
Unfortunately, this means that I have pairs or more of only 2 of the 8
species I had. The lettuce and snails worked reasonably well for the fry,
but not 100% over this period. It seems that having a couple of lush
planted tanks is a good thing for vacations.
This leaves me with a bit of an opportunity to retool my collections a bit.
I had Fp. gardneri going but now I was thinking of possibly switching to
Fp. amieti. I had a few questions:
Are they similarly sized?
Is amieti as easy going as gardneri?
What sort of spawning does amieti go for?
Thanks!
