Paryagi
Hi Dwane and all,
Im starting to believe that Paryagi is very seasonable. I raised 24 last
year and have 14 good eggs now. I get 90% of my eggs in a 6 to 8 week
period. After that I get little or nothing.I breed mine in a 2 1/2 with a
thin layer of oak leaves on the bottom. There is a small heater set at 74. I
have a small box filter with some floss and peat inside.I use pure rain
water and change 20 % 3 times a week. The water is very soft and rather
Acidic(below 6).I have a few mops on corks. I cover all but the front panel
with brown paper(they seem to like it dark). They are feed mostly many
different types of live foods .They seem to live a very long time.I get a
50/50 ratio so luckily they are not male heavy (atleast not here).Pictures
do not do this fish justice, in person they are outstanding.I wish I could
breed them in larger numbers .I also had a pair in a permanent set up, very
well planted , but I never found a fry.
Good luck Dwane
Norm
