deleting old messages

Hello Charles,

I apologize if I ask too much, but in all seriousness it takes less time to
delete the entire previous killie-talk that comes up in a reply than to
scroll down the same. Also, anyone who is reading killie-talk regularly
will be able to follow the discussion(s) without having to re-read the old
stuff. Perhaps this is only a problem for those of us who subscribe to the
digest form. If you get each message separately (i.e not the digest form)
you can just read the new stuff on top, and forget everything that
follows. But in the digest you have to scroll thru all the repeated stuff
to get to the next new message.

There is also another option... that might save time for the sender and
eliminate the repeated messages problem... that is to send your message to
"killietalk at AKA_Org" directly rather than using the reply function. Then
the list gets only the message you type (and any bits you paste in - if
needed) and none of the carryover old messages. You can make killie-talk a
selection in your address book and use the "new message to:" command that
is available in most email programs.

Don't get me wrong, I did not intend to offend, or to create additional
work for any list member(s), but feel that taking the trouble to delete the
redundant message lines would reduce the time it takes for the (several
hundred?) subscribers to read the digest form of killie-talk. That would
give us all more time for water changes, etc... So if you won't do it for
me... do it for my killies ;-}

Sincerely,

Matt
