One of the best sources of Peat is the filter peat sold by Eheim. Boil to
make it sink and use as appropriate. Peat moss softens your water. It can
drop your PH if your water is already soft and kill your fish if you miss
water changes in a small aquarium. Most Aphiosemions can be spawned in mops
either on the bottom of the tank or attached to floating material.
If you choose peat don't forget your water changes and monitor your water
closely.
