Seems like a couple of gallons of water and a cup or a bit

Also makes it a heck of a lot more dangerous--more likely to splatter,

Please take this warning seriously. I used to work in a chemistry lab
with this and other nasties. It WILL cause serious damage even in
relatively dilute form, especially if it gets into your eyes. Wear
goggles and gloves and mix carefully. Follow the directions.

If you do get any of this on you or your clothes, rinse with lots of
cool water. Rinse again. And again. Anything that's left will continue
to react. Same goes for the tank, utensils, etc. Once it's fairly well
diluted, it's not going to hurt or burn anything, but I still would not
dump it on the lawn without further dilution. Better to be safe than
sorry.
