Membership Has its Privileges

During a recent phone conversation with an AKA 'old-timer' regarding his
membership renewal and other matters, he mentioned that he did not see the
wisdom of posting the current version of the  Fish & Egg Listing online in
the general, public area of the AKA website.  He wondered if it might be
more appropriate to post a previous month's Fish & Egg Listing in the
general area and post the current version in the members section of the
website.  His reasoning was that members maybe should have the privilege of
accessing the information first (as their membership dues entitle them).  He
thought that a previous months Fish and Egg Listing should be posted in the
general area of the website so that non-members would have delayed access to
the fish and eggs and would have a sense of the full value of membership in
the AKA.  I found it difficult to argue with his point.  Whether you agree
with this 'old-timers' viewpoint or not, perhaps the new Board might wish to
visit this interesting area of membership benefits.
