Florida Visit?
Hello all you killieguys in Florida,
I am a WAKO and AKA member from Middleton WI (near Madison) and I will be
visiting FL for the holidays (tough as it is to leave tropical Wisconsin
this time of year ;-). I was wondering if there are any killie keepers
that would welcome a visitor - although I understand that timing is
everything, and realize that the holidays are a busy time for everyone!
I will be at my inlaws near Ocala for several days both before and after
Christmas (probably Dec 20-23 and dec 31-Jan 2/3) and at my parents home in
Stuart (N of West Palm Beach) Dec 24-30. If possible, I would enjoy
visiting your fishroom(s), and if you are planning to go collecting anytime
around the holidays I would love to get in on the fun! If you happen to
be within a couple hours of Ocala/Stuart and are so inclined please contact
me off list.
I would welcome any suggestions for fish shops I should visit in the areas
I mentioned. I am driving down, so I will bring collecting gear, as I plan
to do a little exploring of the local rivers and ditches - any suggestions
for collecting areas nearby I might try. Purely catch and release for the
fun of it, as I will have no holding facilities available and will not be
going directly home after the trip.
