Subject: Species Maintenance List

I have not had alot of time to follow the threads recently, but did take a quick look back today (over 2000 unread messages - chuckles>

With that in mind for all those who care:

I mailed the SPECIES MAINTENANCE REPORT 2000 to the Publications Committee today.

Yes it is true - the SMC report will be published soon.

Here are a few details to wet your appetite ... hopefully.

There are over 1800 entries (species and populations listed and their status in the hobby.)

In this listing there are 854 species and populations confirmed within the hobby.  This of course in not necessarily representative - many captive species or populations may simply not yet have been located.

The formatted listing is set up in 4 columns: Species - population - status - and am area for the user to make notes.

I hope this is good news for everyone <smiles>

  Tom Grady
