I'm still packing my 1969 Ftn's,,, favorite film was Pan X at ASA 12 in
Perceptol,,, so having said that I'll take a small bit of credit for
knowing something about resolution, contrast and the effects of them.

I think digital images have gotten here. The 1.3 megapixel cameras didn't
do it, even though john q public thought so,,, but the 3 megapixel cameras
do a fine job. I don't remember which cameras do it,,, but a couple will
allow b&w in camera with a resolution of 9 megapixel's,,, giving a really
great 8X10. For any of the 4X5 size pictures,,, the new cameras are
great. For web use,,, any of the newer 1.3 or above do a good job,,, but
as bad as I hate to say it,,, the 3 megapixel and above will finally bring
digital into photography at an affordable level.

Equal? I still don't think so,,, but most of the folks are happy with the
photo finisher at the mall, using asa 800, and having no idea of proper
exposure, they will do much better with the new crop of digital cameras.
