Re: Clout
Hello,
Hmm...Thanks but that was a little too late for the introduction tip. What I
did was filled the 5 gallon bucket up -same water I use in the fish tank-
and put half tablet of Clout in there. Then I half filled the 1 gl pickle
jar with that water and dumped all the sick fish in there. They seems to be
doing fine, though. Now, I will have to change half of the water and
replace it with the clout solution -from the bucket- every 24 hours, right?
Or do I have to make a new solution everyday?
Thanks

Hello Nonn, While I have not used Clout on killies, I have used it
effectively to treat Tropheus with "bloat". Clout is brutal stuff so be
careful with it. Do a 50% waterchange on the first day. Dissolve the
tablet(s) using the dosage on the package in a container of water and add it
to the tank very slowly over a period of a few hours. The next day make a
50% water change and repeat the clout treatment. Do the same on the third
day (make sure you do the water changes). The symptoms people have been
discussing on this thread are very similar to tropheus bloat. good luck,
Ron
