Re: Heating small tanks and new member stuff

Hi all, another thing that is even easier for heating those shoe boxes is a heating
pad. You would have to experiment with how much insulation to put between the
box and the pad but that should work. Another option is to use heating tape
that herp breeders use to heat their shoeboxes (they use them for snakes and
such). You simply apply the tape to a shelf and and I believe they are controlled
by a rheostat so that you can dial in what temp you want. I have also found
some 2.5 watt heaters for fish bowls at the local Wal-Mart. THey are cheap and
do a good job so far. No thermostat though just one temp which is around 82
in a small bowl (gallon or two)

On another note, how long does it take to get your membership stuff? I signed
up a while back on the web site and the card was charged but I have not received
anything other than an email.

Thanks,
Scott McLaughlin
