Pictures (was Re: Fp. gardneri nigerianus Akamkpa Dark Morph)
Jay and Shane,
Please, both, turn off the MIME as it makes your messages extremely
difficult to read for those of us who don't use Outlook Express, and
probably totally useless to many. Thanks. Reset your send mail preferences
so the content is "plain text" or US ASCII.
As for pictures, I suggest not wasting e-mail bandwidth, but just post a URL
to a web site that has your picture on it. There are many services like
photopoint.com that will host your pictures for free. Easy to set up, they
are a fun way to share pictures for anyone with web access, and they don't
stuff mailboxes full.
If your modem isn't too slow, you can see a fairly high res. picture of a
rare killy at:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=972804&a=7152836&p=24240647&Sequence=0&res=high
Get that URL all on one line or it will not work. If you can't just click on
it, paste it into the address line at the top of your web browser and hit
enter.
It is the White Pine Valley Springfish (*Crenichthys baileyi albivallis*).
Rare and endangered, it's one of the species we work with on the Desert
Springs Action Committee (DSAC) work trips to Nevada.
You can share a bunch of pictures, by using thumbnails, as in:
http://albums.photopoint.com/j/AlbumIndex?u=972804&a=7152836
Click on any to see the big version.
