They are my mainstay, and not just for babies, usually. They are great
conditioning supplement for smaller killie breeders, too.
The problem is those cheap prawns you get at the grocery. They are our
competition for BS eggs and they represent over 90% of the market. We have
simply been outbid! SF Bay eggs run well over $100/lb most places, and Salt
Lake (good) eggs aren't too far behind.
There have been some bargains, recently in the AKA Business Newsletter, so
renew your membership and look there. www.aka.org
Once the babies recognize the color and taste, it is easy to switch them to
the dehydrated decapsulated eggs from www.brineshrimpdirect.com . SF Bay
brand also packages them, but they don't seem to market them to the hobby.

An aquarium is just interactive television for cats.
