Probably there are other ways this could be a factor, but if feeding is less
than it could be , there may be some cannibalism. In some species, females
are smaller.
That is why sizing and separating fry is sometimes advisable.
A worse case scenario, where the keeper gets unexpectedly busy, will produce
one fry, very often male.
