Those must have been some seriously large clowns.  They don't turn that
predatory until the reach a pretty good size.  Mine (3")have cohabited well
with all manner of tetras and even some stunted nothos (rather than killing
my few runts I tend to let them hang out in my community tanks) which are
very small fish indeed. I know lots of people with lots of clowns and this
is the first story I hear in a loach under 8" long.

Did they actually *see* the attacks or are they just guessing that it was
that rather than the natural processes of decay in a fish that's died of
disease in the abdominal cavity?  I just quite skeptical.
