Snail(s) in killi tank.

Hello,

I have a few questions regarding to SNAILs

1. I'm wondering what kind of snail do you keep (if at all) in your killi 
tanks?  I read from some where that Malasian livebearers -trumpet- snails 
are not recomended.  Why?
2. Apart from eating some left over, what is the benefit of having snail(s) 
in the tank?
3. How many snail(s) do you keep per US gallon of water?
