I said that, but now will take it back. I personally suspect, like Huber and
others, that it is a distinct species. Until there is proper scholarly
review, I think we should stick with the official AKA nomenclature, which
Ken tells me will be *Fp. gardneri nigerianus* Akamkpa, in the *new* KMI. He
isn't comfortable with the whole concept of sub-species (I, too, am
suspicious of the value of the concept), but that's the way it will be for a
while.

Mine are very young and just growing out, now. I only have a few. No darks
