Re: BOUNCE killietalk at aka_org: Admin request:/^subject:\s*help\b/i

Hi Kristin,
I have a lo-tech method for basement tanks. I bought a length of hose used for
sump pumps, probably 15 feet for $2.97 cdn. One end goes into my floor drain,
the other gets a small hand held siphon hose poured into it. I just hook it on
the rack, pour into it, then roll it up and put it away. I like the control over
what I pick up using a smaller siphon gives me.
I run water via a clear plastic hose into floor tubs under my racks (black 20
gallon tubs, $4 at the hardware) for curing, then scoop it with an old ice cream
tub. For a small killie set-up, the bailing isn't work, just an annoyance. Two
scoops per tank's a water change.
I have tubs for water cured on peat, rainwater and tapwater. Side by side, they
take little room, and that's for 50 tanks. For eleven tanks, you wouldn't need
much room for the water.
