Doug, (this is per a telephone conversation/email with Wright Huntley):
add kitchen salt (kosher, pickling, water softener salt) to the RO water.
Wright says the optimum reading on the TDS is 100-120. I also use
Schoeler's Liquid Gold plant drops at half recommended dosage since I
have lots of plants in my tanks--this will also raise the TDS reading.
Also it might be wise to add some of your tapwater to the equation to
raise the TDS reading unless there is something really sinister in your
water supply. Your TDS reading on the RO water is from 000-010 (?)
Hope this helps, if not, you need to talk to the master himself (Wright)
