Re: PRI

I kept my 88/10's in a 5.5 gal as a pair and they never bothered the fry. I
just removed fry as they appeared in the tank. I guess the incubation time
is about 2 to 3 weeks like most aphyosemions, but I never picked eggs. They
do take a long time to grow to sex out though. Put some plants in the tank
with the fry and some microworms if you have them. If not, try a pinch of
egg yolk to get infusoria going. I like to raise my fry in the parent tank
if it works. Feed the parents well and let them alone for 4 weeks and see
what shows up. The older water helps for food for the fry. This way you
can even grow some plants in the tank since you do not search for eggs, just
fry. I let them grow in the parent tank till they are at least obviously
big enough to eat newly hatched brine shrimp( a week after hatching?)
