A. bitaeniatum breeding
I breed these in 1 or 2 gallon tanks with a sponge, a floating mop, and so
full of java moss the fish wriggle around. (Actual swimming would not be a
choice). I try to keep one little corner pushed back and feed bbs in that
spot. About once a month I move the parents to another similar tank except
with a whole lot less java moss and no mop. Then I get to actually see the
fish for a while. Usually the original tank is either full or fry or will
be in a few days. The trick is to take out some of the moss to make it
easier to feed the fry without taking out the fry and eggs. If I want to
breed them again, I add the mop and pile in
some more java moss.
