Members Only Area
Here is an announcement from the Membership and Internet Committees:
With the approval of the BOT the Membership and the Internet
Committees have decided to set up a members only area on the AKA web
site. The aim of this area is to provide something extra for members,
adding value to membership. The area therefore will be available only
to members of the AKA and will include such things as current
versions of the membership roster, "back issues" of the Fish and Egg
Listing, online forms to update your membership information, forms to
respond to the annual questionnaire, and (eventually) news and
announcements for members. There is already a form to advertise
"lonely hearts" and a link to browse such ads. We hope to add in the
near future a form to submit listings for the F&EL to Dan Nielsen.
The area will be password protected. Within a few weeks we will mail
out passwords to ALL members of the AKA, but to allow us to get this
off the ground quickly, and to be able to offer online responses to
the questionnaire this year, we intend to do a "bulk emailing" to
those members who list email addresses in the current roster. We
recognize that some of these email addresses may be outdated and that
some members may not yet have listed their email addresses. By way of
this message, we are asking you all to forward any updates of email
addresses to Joe Bulterman (jbulterman at earthlink_net). We need to get
such corrections within a week, before we send out the bulk emailing.
It would be a shame to miss some folks because we had the wrong email
address, or none at all.
Please feel free to tell friends who have email addresses but who
don't get killietalk about this project. For those of you who are not
AKA members, this should prove to be one more reason (amongst many
others) to join.
