Clint,

Two reasons to change the wood out. First, I have a number of smaller tanks, 
and other containers that don't extend over the rack rails and second, I find 
the particle board unable to stand up to my sloppy water changing habits 
("overflow" is my middle name) and once wet, that stuff folds up. The 3/4" 
plywood supports my 20H's, 55, 40 breeders, and 38, all setup lengthwise.
