Inport of Eggs from Czech Republic

Hello Everyone,

I am considering importing live eggs from Czech republic.  Does anyone have 
experience with this?  i have heard that the eggs "peat spawn" comes into 
the US and the eggs are X-Rayed and inevitably destroyed.  Is this 
true?  Is it possible that the eggs can hatch and then the fry be sterile 
or have some other induced genetic problem?  I hate to spend a significant 
amount of dollars and end up with nothing.  Any experiences told would be 
greatly appreciated.  TIA....
