Hi Amelia--

I have Fundulopanchax gardneri N'Sukka. Contact me off list--I think I
have a spare female.

I find these fish pretty easy to breed in a permanent setup. I use a 10
gallon tank with lots of plants and usually start with 2 pairs. Cover
the tank (killies are great jumpers). Feed the fish well--gardneri (GAR
for short) are pretty good eaters and will take flake, frozen and live.
They will breed better and be healthier if you get more frozen and live
foods into their diet (mosquito larvae are a favorite with mine).

They are not too picky about water conditions. Mine are in water with
values of 6.5 to 7.2 pH, hardness of about 200 ppm, temperatures in the
low to mid 70's. I do partial water changes a couple of times a month.

Incubation on the eggs is usually 14 to 21 days--the fry will grow up
with the parents as long as the adults are well fed and there are plenty
of plants in the tank.

Welcome to killies.
