Look for fin damage or body bruising on the female.  If you don't see major damage, just keep them together.  If you do see damage, separate them and add a little salt to the water to help fight the infections.  Enjoy having the luxury of having tank space to separate the gardneri.  If you are a true killie nut you won't have it for long...good luck..bob

Hiya,
My pair of Aphyosemion gardneri are young and have been laying eggs every day for the past 2 weeks, so far I now have 50 fertile eggs.
Im new to Killis and wonder if perhaps the pair should be separated for a while to give the female a 'rest.' Is it healthy for them to be spawning every day? They seem happy enough.
