I am a member of the membership committee for the AKA. I believe that the
best way to go, to get fish and enter the hobby, is to join the AKA
($24/year USA domestic membership). The $24.00 goes a long way: 12 monthly
newsletters with the fish and egg listing of other members; 6 issues of the
'Journal' which features articles on various killifish topics plus color
pictures of fish; and perhaps most important, an equity position when you
are "sitting at the table". The link for a membership application to mail

Goto the bottom of the page and choose 'Category', membership, and then
follow the directions.
I am sure there are folks who will sell you killifish without being a member
of the AKA. You can try contacting them through our website and the online
F&E listing. If you do decide to join, I would like to take this moment

Hello all I am new to the group. I do not have any Killies but, I fell in
love with them right away when a friend sent me pics of them.I would really
like to hear everyone's set-up. I currently have 11 tanks. 9 are saltwater,
I keep and raise Seahorses but, I would really like to get involved w/
working with Killies as well. I have other available tanks I can use for
them, I have never seen them sold by I live in SC so if anyone knows where I
can acquire some as well that would be wonderful. G'day all.
