Hi Ryan,
    I raise Apistos and have just gotten into Killies. My RO unit is now 
about 3 weeks old. instead of buying one i rented it. Go to or call your 
local Culligan Man or another water filtration company. They answered all my 
questions I had and instead of hooking it up for drinking they understood why 
I wanted it plumed to a bucket in the basement instead of under the kitchen 
sink, even though they gave me a strange look(i could tell over the phone 
too.) They hooked it up to the main cold water pipe. I can't answer most of 
your questions but call a company and they will be happy to im shure. Just 
tell them its for your fish and what you want. They also will sell you one 
but i chose to rent becouse they take care of it and I'm only 15.
