Re: Status of A. hollyi?
To the best of my knowledge, that biv is Aphyo bivittatum
hollyi FROM Biafra, I had that particular population when it was first
imported, photographed and have multiple images of it...... Harry pointed
out the real issue. hollyi is a synonym for bivittatum. So "whose on
first". I prefer to keep populations and image collections available as
references.
I will try to find where the image is .... and report to
the group. Please remember my comments and notes are based on the early
collections and my identifications are as accurate as my labels and notes
from the 70's and 80's.
I once prepared a slide/ tape presentation for the AKA on
the Bivittatum Species groups which contained maps and slides of the fish
and their population designations as of the date of the slide tape
presentation. I wonder what ever happen to that program ??
YOU KNOW I DID NOT MAKE A BACKUP ... That would have been
to organized. I do have the images somewhere though ......
