Re: whats the average kept
What's the average kept?
Too many usually.
One of the most dismaying phenomena in the hobby is the person (often a
wonderful individual) who rapidly accelerates their involvement and numbers
of tanks, finds the killies are keeping them, burns out and goes away. I
have met or heard of several 100 tank wonders who were into an entirely
different hobby the next year. In rare cases they even had a different
marital situation.
I know there are some correspondents on this list with that many tanks.
However they are very well organized, have a terrific amount of energy,
great organizational skills and sometimes an automatic water changer and/or
other mechanical aids. They are tremendously important to the hobby as
killie producers and resource people, but they set a pace few can follow.
It is better to have "just less than you can take care of when busy." That
way we may have the pleasure of your company for many years. :)
All the best!
Scott
