Re: whats the average kept

Doug,
The only reason I know something about the "roloffias" is that they are my
favorite African killi group. I read all I can. I believe that
Chromaphysemion is a designation like archiaphysemions ( the roloffia
types), but could be wrong. I am just glad that now I can use scripto,
archia, and callopanchax instead of roloffia, since the roloffia name in
conversation often times resulted in ridicule and hot debates on
nomencalture, which I was not keen on, only to be able to correctly id the
fish I was talking about. You are correct that they are sister groups to
Epiplatys, but by the look of the "tree" they are also close to the
aphysemion complex. From what I have gleened off these things, they are the
most ancient group of aphysemion types, so that would put them closest to
Epiplats. The main thing I am glad about is that I could be of help, since
I in no way consider myself a killi guru, and have learned much of this
information by talking with others. If there is anything I can remember, it
is fish stuff, so my mind is like a steel trap with this stuff, and it is
one reason I enjoy the hobby and groups, to pass along information and
knowledge and to learn new things in the process.
