I would hazard a guess that it is 100 times as expensive. That's why I
don't throw it out. OK, I am a data type person. So here are the facts:
A peat pellet weighs about 1/2 oz and costs $0.07, new price, That's 14¢
an ounce. The Fluval fiber is $4.99 per 2.5 ounces. That's $2.00 an ounce, or
14 times as expensive. Not as outrageous as my first guess. Some Germans use
it for dunnage in their shipments of fish.
