Gary Bartell and others have done an awful lot of criticising of the
AKA staff in regard to the late BNL. I have to say that the AKA does better
than any other volunteer orginization I've ever heard of in regard to
publishing. Further, I learned a long time ago not to complain unless I had
specific remedies to offer. I heartily agree with the recent comment about
how ironic it is that killie keepers have to be much more patient breeders
and wait ages for fry to hatch, yet be hung up on speed in other areas. Now
there are cries of "off with his head!" Who will replace Ted? Can you
guarantee the replacement would, in fact, be an improvement? Are any of the
complainers prepared to do Ted's job on the BNL? I doubt it. Some people
just aren't happy unless they're complaining about something. I hope for
all our sakes that Ted Klotz has a thick skin and lets all this nonsense
roll off. I say give him the thanks he richly deserves and drop this stupid
topic thread. If it's a question of truly wanting to buy or sell some fish
quickly, the complainers will find it temporarily better to
advertise/request right here in the Killietalk list or to try Aquabid.
Otherwise, a little patience and perhaps graciousness is called for.
Certainly restraint. Besides, it's the worst part of the summer to ship
fish anyway. I just had a fish arrive cooked this week myself. Get over it
people! The circumstances have been explained, and it's time to move on!
