Re: BNL (Chairman's response)

Gary,
I know you're writing to the chair. I'm not on the BOT, and no official role
here. I'm a member like you. Here's what I honestly don't understand.

a) my BNL wasn't noticeably late. So what is the fury about? If people haven't
gotten July, it appears to have been mailed.

b) the story about Ted's computer wasn't an excuse. It was an explanation. These
things are different.

c) what evidence is there the AKA is falling apart?!?

d) It's okay to be ticked off at your listing not being accepted because it was
late, but where's the leap to the conspiracy theory? Why is it necessary for
people to add an accusatory edge to the voicing of their concerns about the AKA?
Hmmm. Then again - were Lee Harper and Ted Klotz around the grassy knoll? Do we
have members in Roswell?

e) are we clients, or members?

When I joined the AKA, I was frustrated by its sprawl, being a Canadian member
in an area without a local affiliate club. Now, I've gotten used to it. I can't
even order fish by mail without asking a US friend to receive the box, then
driving across the border to pick it up. It's not the group's fault.

So my BNL's out one week late. Big deal. Hasn't anyone on the disgruntled side
of this debate been a volunteer in a big, communications challenged
organization?

Gary of Canada
