RE: BNL (Chairman's response)
Mister Chairman,
I for one am very tired of the excuses. I've heard about late submissions
to the F & E Listings, and that the Postal Service is to blame also a dozen
other poor excuses. Let me point out that I for one sent a F & E
Listing to Dan that was a day late I was told that it would have to wait for
the next BNL. Now I hear all this talk about late F & E listings holding up
the process (so does this mean that you have to be part of the in crowd to
have a late F & E printed?) As for the Postal Service these people handle
millions of pieces of mail and all our people have is about a thousand. I
for one think if you take on the job, then do it, or don't take it at all.
True this is a hobby and hobbies are supposed to be enjoyable. But the
enjoyment is dampened when you don't get what you paid for. The BNL is our
primary source of communication with each other and it should always be on
time. I've heard it said that the printer delayed the printing at some
point. Is there only one printer in the country that can print the BNL? Hell
it ain't like it's a major publication.
Face the facts that you can't attract new members to an organization that
is falling apart because it does not deliver what it is supposed to on time.
Let me say one last thing here I don't remember seeing any of the people
involved with the process asking for any help.
Gary
