The July BNL was about a week late because of technical (e-mail) problems. I
received mine on or before July 20. I was away from home at the time it was
delivered, so I don't know exactly when the mailman delivered it. It was
mailed before that obviously. You should have gotten it long ago. That is
not
to excuse the lateness, but it was not due to any lack of diligence of any
of
the chain of persons involved in the process. There is a chain of events
that
are scheduled to occur on time and if any uncontrolled event occurs, it of
course, cannot be made up later in the process. I have reviewed that
schedule
with all concerned and they all agree that it is doable. It usually is, but
things still can happen. Longer term we are looking at other ways to
eliminate some of the steps, but the down side of that is that more work is
required. I have outlined the following sequence of events which will be
repeated in the August Chairman's BNL letter. Of course if you don't get it,
you can't read it, so I am providing an advance description here. The month
August for September's BNL is used for example.
August 10 - deadline for Fish & Egg List submissions to Dan Nielsen
August 15 - the mailing list (Joe Bulterman), the Chairman's letter (Lee
Harper), the Fish & Egg List (Dan Nielsen) and New & Rare Lists (Fred
Behrmann) and all other announcements, ballots, etc., are sent by email,
snail mail or whatever to Ted Klotz. This gives Ted 2 weeks to get them
compiled (assembled) for sending to Dick Martino.
August 30 - Ted Klotz gets the compiled BNL to Dick Martino for
formatting, rearrangements, etc.and printing
September 7 - Dick Martino delivers it to the post office for mailing
September 10 - most members should receive it by First Class mailing
within the USA.
September 17 - Barry Cooper puts the Fish & Egg List on the website
For months with different number of days the last day of the month is
substituted for the 30th. This is the schedule that has been followed for
several years.

Lee,
As I understand the above schedule you are telling us there will be no
change. Now if every one meets these deadlines and the BNL is in fact mailed
no later than the seventh of the month I think the members will be happy and
accept this.
